We're Hiring: Web Developer

Your Mission

Develop Envoke’s Marketing Automation product. Keep it simple using a “convention over configuration” approach to promote self-serve usage to minimizing product support. Use common coding standards and framework to promote easy maintenance, testing and new developer on-boarding.

We work in an open office where no one looks over your shoulder. It’s a comfortable physical environment with access to a rooftop garden in a beautiful heritage building. We’re in a great part of downtown with easy access to transit. We have weekly company lunch, monthly company socials, an annual off-site retreat, good coffee and the occasional pint after work.
You’re expected to work independently and meet your commitments. Most of us spend time working from home. We provide a competitive salary and benefits commensurate to your skills and experience. We have a revenue sharing plan that comes into full effect after two years. Your growth is defined by the intersection of your interests and motivations with those of Envoke. You will have a weekly 30-minute “One-On-One (O3)” with either a partner or the person you report to discuss anything on your mind.

Your Experience

Procedural and object oriented PHP web development; building interactive forms and online engagements with JavaScript; developing asynchronous client-side applications (AJAX); building web services; interacting with diverse web APIs (SOAP, REST) using a variety of data formats (XML, JSON).

Your Role

  1. Email Product Development (70%): You’ll help design, code, and test new and existing email product features. You’ll focus on implementing improvements to enhance our user experience (UX). Working closely with in-house product service and support teams you’ll help to identify and fix issues.
  2. Product Services Support (internal) (15%): You’ll learn Envoke’s Marketing Automation product and help write and review JavaScript code for forms, offers and landing pages.
  3. Second Tier Email Support (internal) (15%): You’ll learn the ins and outs of the email and marketing automation product and help first tier email support resolve issues.
