We are glad to announce that the Hosted Forms feature has been released to all accounts!
Hosted forms make it possible to modify forms directly from the Envoke interface without having to update the form code on your website.
After the form is initially embedded on your web page(s) you can change its layout, style and functionality any time straight from your Envoke account. This means that adding new fields, auto responders, interests or changing the thank you page URL no longer require the involvement of your IT team.
How do hosted forms work?
When a form is created it is saved in your account including with all of its settings. Rather than adding the form HTML code to websites “as is”, a small chunk of “include script” is used, which links to the saved form in your account. This way when you modify the form inside Envoke the changes are instantly reflected on the website via the include script.
We also added a preview function to test how forms look like and behave without having to add them to a (testing-only) web page first. This allows you to fully test forms before making them live!
How to use hosted forms?
Another benefit of hosted forms is the new real-time reporting feature. Every submission to all hosted forms are logged and displayed on the “Form Submissions” page under the “Reports” tab. The report includes total and unique submissions per form, ordered by last submission date.
What happens to existing forms?
Forms that were created before the release of the hosted forms feature continue to work indefinitely as per normal.
To convert an existing non-hosted form into a hosted form you can simply create a new form inside Envoke and paste the existing form code into the form body area using the editor’s “Source” view.
